The skinning in character animation: A survey

چکیده
The skinning in the character animation is always one of vital research contents computer animation. In recent years, with rapid development 3D game, animation, and film special effects production industry, requirements for skin technology have gradually increased, innovative has also received more attention from researchers, resulting birth many new methods technologies. This article focuses on analyzing different technology, which can be roughly divided into four categories: Direct Skinning Methods, Automatic Skinning, Example-based Shape Deformation, Delta Skinning. details each method are listed, advantages disadvantages above compared analyzed. Finally, aiming at shortcomings current work, some problems that further studied proposed.
